Justin Bieber's horrific fashion sense could finally land him behind bars -- investigators in the singer's egging case believe the ugly sweater he was wearing the night of the attack is the smoking gun they're looking for.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, the sweater Bieber's wearing in one of his Instagram photos -- posted January 10th, a day after the egg attack -- appears to match the sweater worn by one of the eggers in surveillance video obtained by police . The hat appears to match too.
According to search warrant docs, the surveillance video shows a white male -- wearing what appears to be Bieber's exact outfit from the Instagram photo -- coming from the direction of the neighbor's house after the egging ... celebrating and high-fiving his friends.
KTTV Fox 11 first aired the surveillance video images Thursday night.
As we reported, Bieber's neighbor claims the singer and his friends allegedly egged the bejesus out of his Calabasas home, causing roughly $20,000 in damage.
So far, no egging charges against Bieber have been filed. We're told the Sheriff and the D.A. are wrangling over whether to file misdemeanor or felony charges.
