Kayla Finley was arrested Thursday when she visited the Pickens County Sheriff's Office on an unrelated matter ... and according to reports cops discovered she had a nearly 10-year-old warrant.
Turns out Kayla allegedly rented "Monster-in-Law" from Dalton Video in 2005 but never returned it ... so the store owner got the police involved before going out of business.
It's unclear when Dalton Video went out of business ... but cops say they've been trying to get in touch with her about the warrant for years and never heard back.
Kayla swore she never got a notice -- but was hauled off to jail anyway ... and released a few hours later on bond.
The charge she's facing: "failure to return rented video cassette."
Fun Fact: "Monster-in-Law" has a 16% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
It was all for the debut concert on Miley's "Bangerz" tour -- which was filled with little people dressed as joints, giant stuffed animals, and a lot of ass -- but the big finish was her rendition of "Party in the U.S.A.."

Simon Cowell is officially a father ... his pregnant GF Lauren Silverman has finally popped in NYC.
36-year-old Silverman just gave birth to a baby boy at Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC -- after Simon flew across the ocean from London to be by her side for the delivery. As we reported, Lauren went into labor early this morning and Simon hopped a plane as soon as he heard.
The boy is 54-year-old Simon's first child and Lauren's second -- she also has an 8-year-old son with her ex Andrew Silverman.
So far, no word on the baby's name.
We broke the story ... Lauren Silverman went into labor early Friday morning -- and Simon rushed home from London to be there -- but based on his look in the pic ... the soon to be dad doesn't look too worried about missing things.

Justin Bieber is about to make a judge's daughter the envy of her schoolmates, because he's about to see Justin naked.
According to new court docs, Bieber's wiener and/or backside -- as they appear on jail surveillance footage following his DUI arrest -- will be carefully examined in private by prosecutors AND a judge ... before any more Bieber jail videos are released to the public.
TMZ broke the story ... Bieber's attorney asked the court to block the release of any more jail videos after footage surfaced showing the singer getting patted down behind bars.
Bieber's camp claimed additional jail footage features the singer's "intimate personal parts" -- which we've learned Bieber accidentally revealed while urinating in his holding cell -- and they want to keep the videos under lock and key.
Now, prosecutors have responded, agreeing to hold off on the release of any more embarrassing footage -- pending review by a judge.
Once prosecutors and the judge review the tapes, a decision will be made about whether to keep his privates private.
Love sucks -- at least for supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio, who stepped out in L.A. Thursday with what appears to be a GIANT HICKEY on her neck.

Simon Cowell's first baby is on the way -- his girlfriend Lauren Silverman is in labor, and has checked into a New York City hospital ... TMZ has learned.
Sources close to Lauren tell us she went to Lenox Hill hospital in Manhattan (Upper East Side, of course) within the last few hours -- and immediately sent up the baby signal ... alerting Simon to get on a private jet bound for NYC.
He's been in London shooting one of his competition TV shows.
If Lauren has the baby today -- they're expecting a boy -- we're told she'd be a about a week and a half early, but it's nothing to worry about.
