Borgella's family broke the news on her Facebook page Saturday ... saying the singer passed away around 5:45AM -- adding, "Her faith, courage and strength were unshaken throughout every obstacle she encountered."
Joanne was the first winner of "Mo'Nique's Fat Chance" using the name "Miss F.A.T." in 2005. In 2008 she was on Season 7 of "A.I." and made it into the top 12 girls category.
Last year, Joanne said her cancer was rare because it had spread to her chest -- the family's post on Facebook described it as endometrial cancer ... a form of cancer that attacks the lining of the womb.

Brendon was in Boise for a Comic Con event when he got busted around 10PM for allegedly causing "malicious injury to a property" ... according to police -- but so far it's unclear what he was actually doing to get arrested.
Nicholas was hit with 2 misdemeanor counts -- including one for resisting/obstructing officers.

In case you missed it, a 24-foot tall statue called "Tree" was unveiled Thursday in the ritzy Place Vendome shopping area of Paris ... and people couldn't help pointing out what it actually looks like.
Turns out some Parisians are pissed about the statue ... and an unidentified group of vandals managed to cut the chords holding up "Tree" -- so the whole thing toppled over.
The call was made afterward to deflate the "butt-plug" tree. It's unclear if it will go back up at the Place Vendome.

Kris Jenner has been crying every night over Bruce Jenner's new date ... who happens to be Kris' former best friend for the last 20 years.
We're told Kris feels utterly betrayed by Ronda Kamihira ... who to this day has not said a word to her about seeing Bruce. Kris has seen photos of Bruce and Ronda in public, including the Elton John concert on Oct. 4th in L.A. She feels humiliated and played.
We're also told Kris has not confronted Bruce about Ronda -- and doesn't care if they're banging or not. She feels Bruce being out with Ronda on dates -- even casual ones -- given that Ronda was a family friend with whom they vacationed and shared holidays -- is just appalling.
One source said Kris is "torn apart and angry."

Stephen Collins -- a self-proclaimed child molester -- will NOT be prosecuted for either molesting or exposing himself to the 3 victims ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.
TMZ posted audio of Collins confessing to wife Faye Grant that he molested and/or exposed himself to 3 girls ... ages 11 - 13. And, as we reported ... the NYPD and the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. have open investigations. The LAPD is also looking into the case they closed 2 years ago.
But law enforcement sources in all 3 police departments tell TMZ ... the cases will go nowhere. All 3 cases are decades old, and our sources say prosecution would be barred by the statute of limitations.
The NYPD case is the one with the best argument that the statute hasn't run ... as we reported the victim came forward in 2012 and spoke with NY detectives. But that case involves an incident in the 70s and we're told law enforcement has all but given up on a viable case.
Grant has alleged Collins molested a child while he was shooting "7th Heaven" -- sometime between 1996 and 2007 -- but we're told no such victim has come forward.
Although it looks like Collins will not be prosecuted -- assuming no one else comes forward -- he will still have to deal with the molestation issue in court. His divorce trial is next month, and Grant plans to raise the issue because she wants her portion of the assets protected in case one of the victims files suit. And he plans to raise the issue because he claims she used the audio to extort him.

Murray was nursing a frothy drink in Barbados when a photog screwed up the question ... she suggested to Murray Propofol was somehow the cause of Joan's death ... which is wasn't.
Nevertheless ... Murray sang the virtues of the drug, and then launched into his tried-and-untrue argument that he was framed by L.A. County prosecutors in Michael Jackson's death.

Bruce Jenner is dating one of Kris Jenner's best friends ... TMZ has confirmed.
Our Jenner sources tell TMZ ... Bruce has hooked up with Ronda Kamihira ... a 51-year-old mother of 2.
We're told Kris is "extremely upset" that Bruce is dating Ronda, and -- as one source puts it -- "It really stings because Ronda never told Kris she started seeing Bruce."
And get this ... for years Ronda and the Jenners have been neighbors in Hidden Hills, CA, even spending holidays at each other's homes.
A Jenner source tells us the talk within family was that Ronda was weirdly becoming "Kris' single white female." The source says Ronda mimicked Kris right down to her hair.

War Machine tried to kill himself in his jail cell this week ... but his attempt was foiled by a corrections officer.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Tuesday morning around 9:30 an officer was walking War Machine's cell in Clark County Jail. The officer saw him sitting on the ground with his feet up on the bunk bed. When the officer called to him he was unresponsive.
The officer went into the cell and found he had tied a piece of linen around his neck and tied it to the leg of the bed. The officer cut the linen and removed it ... and we're told War Machine's breathing became less strained and he attempted to speak.
He's currently in a medical isolation cell on suicide watch.

The "August: Osage County" star who's been missing since last week may have been found dead ... according to family members.
Misty Upham's family tells TMZ ... one of their search teams found a body in a ravine about an hour ago. They have not been able to reach the body yet because of the steep terrain ... but searchers believe it looks like Misty.
We're told the search team included family, friends and other members of the Native American community around Auburn, WA. They contacted police ... who are now sending officers to help retrieve the body.
As we reported ... Misty's Dad feared she had committed suicide when she went missing after going to visit friends.

Leslie Lopez -- who was caught shoplifting twice in Norway back in 2012 -- has been the focus of a police investigation ... over 3 designer handbags from Saks Fifth Avenue in Florida that went missing.
The Bal Harbour PD says Lopez allegedly swooped a Fendi handbag in January worth $2750 ... then in April she allegedly swooped a Louis Vuitton purse worth the same amount -- and walked out of the store with the purse draped over her shoulder.
Same goes for a Louis Vuitton purse in June worth $3800 ... only that time she concealed the item inside a shopping bag before walking out.
Leslie turned herself into authorities this week and was charged with 3 counts of grand theft.
Sources close to Leslie tell us she voluntarily went to police because she wanted to set things right by paying for the stolen merch. We're told Leslie has been depressed and on a bunch of meds since her mother's death last year -- but recently she's been cleaning up her act, and as part of that process she surrendered to cops.
In case you forgot ... SJP's longtime makeup artist was fined in Norway for stealing a pair of sunglasses -- she also took some lipstick -- but Leslie INSISTED she had been set up .

Joan Rivers died because she went into hypoxic arrest during her throat procedure ... cutting off oxygen to her brain -- but the medical examiner is calling it a "predictable complication."
The New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner released its findings today, revealing that Joan was sedated with Propofol during the procedure.
The investigation also revealed Joan had the procedure to evaluate changes in her voice and to deal with acid reflux.
Joan suffered brain damage due to lack of oxygen.
As for the "predictable complication" ... it appears the Examiner is saying her cause of death is simply a risk associated with either anesthesia, the procedure, or both.
