Drew Brees is finally calling off the dogs on a former Saints teammate who allegedly screwed him out of $160k ... more than a year after battling the guy in court ... TMZ Sports has learned.
Brees had sued former Saints longsnapper Kevin Houser -- claiming the guy (who became a licensed security broker) duped him into buying $160k worth of tax credits from a defunct movie studio that turned out to be bogus and worthless.
Houser had fired back -- saying he NEVER had a deal to represent Brees in the transaction and says Drew simply made a stupid investment and should just take his loss like a man
Now, we've learned ... the two sides have struck a settlement -- and though the terms are confidential, it's pretty safe to assume Houser probably had to kick over some cash.
We reached out to both sides for comment -- so far, no word back.
For the record, Brees signed a $100 million contract in 2012 ... so clearly, this wasn't about the money -- it was personal.
Charlotte Hornets Jeff Taylor -- ARRESTED For Domestic Violence

The 25 year old forward was arrested at Marriott hotel near Michigan State University ... and booked for domestic violence, assault, and malicious destruction of property
Taylor is still in custody, and being held on a $5,000 bond. The alleged victim in the incident has not been identified.
Earlier this week NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said the league would review its policies regarding domestic violence ... in lieu of what's been going on in NFL.

Kim Kardashian was tackled and almost knocked to the ground in an alarming assault during a Paris Fashion Week event.
Kim, Kanye and Kris Jenner arrived at a Fashion Show Thursday ... and several hundred people -- including a gaggle of photogs -- were squeezed in to watch them arrive.
As Kim gets out of the car, a guy lunges at her, tackling her legs and tries to pull her to the ground.

Disney's 'Frozen' -- Sued For $250 MILLION -- They Stole My Life Story

You might have thought Walt Disney's "Frozen" was about an ice princess and a talking snowman ... but it's actually one woman's true-life story -- or so she's claiming in a new $250 MILLION lawsuit.
Isabella Tanikumi claims the movie is NOT based on the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, "The Snow Queen" ... but rather her 2010 autobiography -- about growing up in the Andean mountains of Peru.
Tanikumi claims Disney plagiarized and copied the story, characters, and plots from her book ... and turned it into "Frozen" -- the highest grossing animated flick of all time.
We took a quick look at her book ... nope, didn't see a talking snowman.
Our advice to her ... let it go.

Paulina has been dating PGA star Dustin Johnson since 2011 -- and he finally popped the question back in August '13 ... though it's unclear when they plan to actually tie the knot.

Hope Solo on Nude Hacker -- 'Beyond Bounds of Human Decency'

Solo is part of a group of celebrities whose private emails and text messages were exposed to the world in an event called "The Fappening" -- but Hope tells TMZ Sports she's trying to put a stop to it, ASAP.
"It is extremely sad and unfortunate that the rights of so many women were violated by the unauthorized release of private photographs," Solo tell us.
"This act goes beyond the bounds of human decency and, as such, I stand united with all the women affected and am exploring every option to protect my privacy."
Solo also issued a statement addressing the domestic violence charges she's facing -- stemming from an incident back in June where she allegedly attacked her 17-year-old nephew.
"While I understand the public desires more information regarding the allegations against me, I continue to maintain my innocence against these charges."
Solo continues, "And once all the facts come to light and the legal process in concluded, I am confident that I will be fully exonerated."

Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti will face the media at 1 PM PT -- where he's expected to respond to the ESPN story which detailed the Ravens' role in an alleged cover-up of the Ray Rice elevator knockout incident.
According to the ESPN article, Bisciotti spearheaded the plan to sweep the incident under the rug -- even though he was fully aware of what really happened inside the elevator at the Revel Hotel and Casino.

"Ink Master" judge Chris Nunez was arrested Saturday in Florida ... after he got busted for driving under the influence.
The Spike TV star got pulled over for allegedly running a stop sign ... and he was eventually hauled off to jail for DUI -- according to the Broward County Sheriff.
It's unclear what Nunez was allegedly on -- booze or drugs -- but we're told he was released hours later on bond.
