56-year-old Clay says, "The word 'marriage' was putting a pressure on our relationship and since we filed, we’ve been more in love and have had more respect for each other than ever before." Clay says the couple even celebrated their divorce at a fancy Hollywood restaurant.
Vasquez and Clay were married in Vegas on Valentine's Day in 2010. They have no kids together.

The Game is now the suspect in a felony domestic violence investigation ... after allegedly beating up his fiancee, law enforcement sources tell TMZ.
According to our sources, Game's fiancee Tiffney Cambridge, filed a police report last weekend ... following a March 19th incident during which she claims Game attacked her. Cambridge told police the couple was having an argument and Game turned violent.
Sources close to Tiffney tell us, Game hit Tiffney repeatedly in the face, injuring her eye socket and breaking her nose. Law enforcement sources say police took photos of her face.
We're told the L.A. County Sheriff's Department has launched a criminal investigation.
Both Game and Tiffney appear on his reality show, "Marrying The Game."
Sources connected with Game tell TMZ, he acknowledges there was an incident ... but the rapper insists he never laid a finger on her.
As we reported, Avicii was forced to bail on his Ultra Music Festival gig last week due to severe abdominal pains, nausea, and a fever. He got his gallbladder removed Saturday and the surgery went well .
Avicii spent a few days in the hospital recovering, but he's since been released.
Maybe the Ultra curse isn't so bad after all.

David Letterman, the longest-serving late-night talk show host in TV history, has just announced his retirement.
Letterman made the announcement during the taping of his show Thursday in New York, telling the audience his last show will take place in 2015.
Letterman began his Hollywood career as a stand-up comedian in the late 1970s, appearing several times on "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson." He got his morning show in 1980 and began his late night career in 1982 on NBC with "Late Night with David Letterman."
11 years later in 1993, Letterman moved to CBS to host "The Late Show with David Letterman," after Jay Leno was tapped to replace Johnny Carson on NBC.
Letterman's CBS contract is scheduled to expire next year and Letterman won't be re-upping.

Told ya so -- Spike Jonze has emerged victorious ... in the lawsuit filed by 2 men who claim the famed director stole their screenplay by creating "Her."
TMZ broke the story -- screenwriters Sachin Gadh and Jonathan Sender sued Jonze , claiming he stole the concept for their screenplay "Belv," about a cell phone that comes to life and befriends a human.
Gadh and Sender listed a bunch of script elements they claim are a little too similar for comfort -- like how their main character carries "Belv" around in his front pocket -- but the judge didn't agree, tossing the case out of court.
In his decision, the judge tears their case to shreds -- ruling the two scripts aren't even remotely similar ... "Her" is a thoughtful drama and "Belv" is a comedy. In addition, the judge says the two scripts contain different stories, different characters, different themes, settings, moods, pacing, and dialogue.

A fan who contacted Oscar-winning actress Marlee Matlin and publicly threatened to kill herself is now in the crosshairs of cops ... because cops say the phantom has committed the crime of public nuisance.
The fan -- who claimed she was a quadriplegic named Raena Patatta -- tweeted at Marlee Wednesday, writing, "I've decided to end my life today. It's been a struggle, but I've had enough. This will end my pain and paralysis. Sorry @MarleeMatlin :("
Marlee immediately contacted police in Nova Scotia -- where Raena said she lives -- and the Halifax PD scrambled to find her.
A rep for the department tells TMZ, police have determined the Twitter user who made the threat does NOT live in Nova Scotia, leading them to believe it's all a hoax.
Cops have yet to locate the person behind the tweets, but when they do, we're told the person could face the charge of public mischief -- which, in Canada, is punishable by 5 years in jail.
The investigation is ongoing.

Burke got into a minor accident yesterday in Malibu and scratched up her sweet Maserati. Cops were suspicious enough that they gave her a field sobriety test .
