Miley Cyrus was given the worst birthday gift ever this weekend ... her house was broken into and her stuff got jacked.
The break-in occurred Friday afternoon in Studio City when the thief somehow gained access to Miley's pad ... and made off with some jewelry.
It's unclear how the crook (or crooks) got inside the house ... but cops say they're currently investigating how it all went down.
Thankfully Miley wasn't home when the break-in happened -- and neither was anybody else.
WWE superstar Daniel Bryan's dog died last week ... and the wrestler says he's having a tough time dealing with the loss.
The bearded athlete revealed the tragic news during an interview to promote WWE's Survivor Series pay per view on Sunday ... and said Asparagus the Wonder Dog was his legitimate "best friend."
It's unclear how Asparagus passed away ... but the yellow lab was 11 years old.
A.T.W.D. is survived by an equally cute pooch named Josie.

The "Celebrity Rehab" star's ex Jasmine Lennard filed suit last week against Shifty -- real name Seth Binzer -- seeking full custody ... and removal of his visitation rights.
Lennard says Seth hasn't seen their son since November 2011 -- nor has he paid child support -- so she wants a judge to make her the sole guardian.
Even worse ... Lennard claims Seth is still addicted to a whole slew of drugs ... and his problem is so out of control he once left a crack pipe in their son's room after freebasing.
Jasmine claims she tried to establish Shifty as the son's legal father last year -- but Binzer acted like it wasn't his kid to get out of paying child support, even though he admitted it was his kid on "Celebrity Rehab."
So now, she wants the judge to officially give her full-time custody ... and she wants him to pay up, stat.

Posh and David Beckham packed up 20 boxes of clothes -- from Spice Girls hoodies to fancy dresses, designer shoes, suits, boots, etc. -- and hauled it to the British Red Cross.
Some of the stuff is actually affordable -- Beckham suit jacket's are on sale for 75 pounds a piece ($121) ... and the money raised from the sale will go towards aiding the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
And if you can't make it to England -- some opportunists are already trying to re-sell some of the stuff on eBay ... for triple the price.

Lamar Odom's drug problem is only getting worse -- at least that's how it looks in this video, shot this month and obtained by TMZ, showing Lamar incoherently rapping without his shirt on ... talking about drugs , making money without the NBA, and cheating on Khloe Kardashian.
Lamar appears out of it, rapping about making money off his fragrance "Unbreakable," and how he smokes drugs to make "the pain go away." He even drops Kanye's name.
But the crazy part -- Lamar raps, "And when Khloe's out of town / I still be on the DL." His friend then follows up, "You know what it is / We the QU [Queens] pimps / Ask any of these shorties / We ran through their cribs."
Translation: when Khloe's away, Lamar will play.

Rapper Waka Flocka Flame is publicly apologizing to Oprah Winfrey -- saying he's sorry for calling her an "ugly b*tch" and for saying he wouldn't f**k her.
Waka is referring to an old video that recently surfaced in which one of Waka's friends quips that Oprah has a "million dollar p*ssy" -- which Waka replied, “I won’t f**k that ugly b*tch!”
Now, Waka tells TMZ he feels terrible about the situation -- saying, "I feel obligated to take responsibility for my actions and publicly apologize to Oprah."
"My remarks about you were both extremely unnecessary and disrespectful. This regretful situation made me look at women and how I address them in a more responsible way."
Waka says his mother was "disgusted" when she saw the footage -- and it made him realize how hurtful his words can be.

One of Justin Bieber's bodyguards got busted in the most chill place on Earth -- for getting violent with a photographer and his equipment ... TMZ has learned.
The alleged tussle went down on the island of Kauai Wednesday ... when Bieber and his crew were jumping off the famous cliff on Shipwreck's Beach.
According to cops ... a 29-year-old man was snapping pics of JB & co. until of Bieber's hired hands approached and demanded he delete all his photos.
The photog refused ... and claims the bodyguard -- Dwayne Patterson -- then got physical ... assaulting him and damaging his camera.
The alleged victim wasn't too hurt -- according to cops he refused medical attention.
Patterson was booked for third degree assault and 4th degree criminal property damage. He was released on $3,000 bail, aka ... Justin's pocket change.
It's unclear if Bieber did actually cover the bail. His reps haven't gotten back to us yet.
