Team USA Soccer Goalie -- Defends Britt McHenry ... 'She's a Great Kid'

Finally, Britt McHenry has someone in her corner -- a Team USA soccer player who says she's known Britt for years and insists she's not the raging bitch she appeared to be in that video. 

TMZ Sports spoke with Ashlyn Harris -- a goalie on the U.S. National Women's Team -- who played soccer on the same team with Britt at Satellite High School in Satellite Beach, Florida. 

"This doesn't seem like her at all," Harris said ... "Britt has always been really quiet, laid back. She's a really big sweetheart."

"You know with videos these days people can take that and screw things around, not really sure if that happened here."

"All I know is that The Britt that I knew in high school was a great kid, a really good friend and teammate."
