CeeLo Green is optimistic about beating a felony drug charge in court ... telling TMZ, his legal case is only looking up now that "the darkest part is over."

"The Voice" judge -- who stands accused of giving a woman ecstasy last year -- was rolling out of LAX when he gave us the lowdown on his court case.

Green's got a preliminary hearing in the case next month, but he says it's pretty much all formalities from here out ... he's more than confident he'll emerge victorious in the end.
